Vintage Sterling Silver Children of Lir Swan Necklace, Irish Celtic. Hallmarked Dublin, Ireland 2000.

Gorgeous Children of Lir necklace by "TJH" (The Jewellery House Ltd) depicting 5 swans, twisted back on themselves like Celtic knots. TJH's Lir line is no longer in production and this particular necklace is very scarce.
Swans feature heavily in Celtic mythology, and this necklace features 4 sinuous swans, with another larger one hanging as a pendant. The 4 tragic Children of Lir siblings, Fionnuala, Aodh, Fiachra, and Conn, were transformed into swans by their jealous stepmother, Aoife, for 900 years.
Hallmarks for: Dublin, Ireland, sterling silver, and date letter "O" for 2000; also stamped "925" on rollover clasp and on ring plate beside. Approximate measurements: 18.5" length, centre swan 1.25" long; 14.1g.
The necklace comes with two pieces of original paperwork, one telling the legend of the Lit's children, the other showing the other pieces in TJH's Lir collection. The box has some slight scuffs, but nothing significant. The necklace itself is in like-new condition.
