From the late 1980s through the early 2010s, Lisa Jenks was one of America’s most celebrated artisanal jewelers, featured in top design and fashion magazines. Drawing inspiration from Cubism, Tribal Art, Precolumbian Art, and Mid-Century Modernism, Jenks' pieces captured the resurgent spirit of vintage tattoos, industrial chic, and deconstructed glamour.
This pair of earrings plays with the ideas of weight, with the larger, heavier ball shape supporting a smaller, swinging pendulum.
The earrings have Lisa's benchmark "© JENKS" and "925" to interior back; posts are stamped "14k"; oversized butterfly backings are stamped "STERLING" with a flower mark beside.
Approximate measurements: 1 1/4 length, top balls about 1 1/4 diameter; 18.5g.
Great vintage condition with no noted flaws other than some light signs of use and some tarnish that could be polished out by buyer if desired.
