1970s sterling silver bracelet set with baltic amber tube. Minimalist. MCM.
€125.00
Lovely little tubular piece of Baltic amber suspended by two bands of silver and an open-backed setting. The setting really lets the amber glow and glimmer when struck by the light.
Hallmarks, purity marks, maker's/sponsor's marks: clasp is stamped with a flower-like symbol inside a circle and "925". I've not tested the stone, but am 99% sure that it's Baltic amber.
Excellent condition, bar a small chip to the edge of the amber (only visible under magnification), which actually looks like it may be a void from a piece of inclusion coming loose—barely noticeable and does not affect the stability of the stone.
Approximate measurements: 7 1/4" internal diameter, amber tube is 1/4" long; 7.1g.
Sourced from a Washington, D.C. estate.
